"Hellow! Are You God ?"
Once a girl of twelve years old was selling garlands sitting beside a busy street. ‘One garland just for rupees five,’ she was shouting in a loud voice. Suddenly the flower basket with full of garlands, which was placed in front of her was dashed down to the road by mistake by some of the lads who were walking fast through the street. And within a few seconds those garlands were crushed by the crowd as well as by some vehicles which passed by. The girl was still trying to sell the one in her hand.
The young men were still advancing ahead without bothering these things. But then suddenly one among them stopped and looked back. Others said to him, ‘the train is about to leave and if we miss this, then it will be too late to get the next one.’ ‘Never mind, I will come afterwards. You can go,’ he replied.
That young man walked towards the small girl. Still she was trying to sell the garland as though she was unaware of what has happened. ‘One garland just for rupees five,’ she was repeating. On the garlands lying crushed he looked and then on the face of the girl. Like this he did a few rounds. Her half closed eyes were without eye-balls. The poor girl was blind! Tears filled his eyes. He explained everything to her: ‘Because of us today you have this loss. Don’t worry. Accept this five hundred rupees. Keep it.’ Placing five hundred rupee-note in her hand he set off. A moment, she was wonder-striken, and then she called loudly and asked, ‘Hallow! Are you the God?’ ‘Who is God?’ This is a question we all ask at least once. Some will say, ‘the one who helps in troubles.’ Some others will say, ‘the one who heals the sick;’ yet another group will say, ‘the one who helps by giving money.’ Like this according to the experience of each person, he will comment about God. This blind girl thought that the one who helped her in her helpless condition might be God. Yes! God is the one who helps every man in his troubled situation. But God is not solely that. Apart from that God loves us so deeply. God wants us to search him and find turn out.
Acts 17:26,27: “and He made from one man, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times, and the boundaries of their habitation, that they should seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”
Majority of the people turn to seek God when they are without peace, having nobody to help them in their diseases and problems. The man who, when health and wealth is there, lives as if ‘what for God,’ while subjected to deadly disease starts seeking God. Even if you have lost everything and living a hellish life under rejection and reproach and think somehow to die, you seek God and He will come near to you.
Psalm 14:2: “The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.”
If you think there is no God, You are foolish.
Psalm 14:1: “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.”
Are you in a dark situation like this blind girl? Things haunting your mind are nothing else but problems like disease poverty, drunkenness, family problems, mental agony, solitude, reproach, peaceless situation, thought of suicide etc. Isn’t it? But yet there is hope for you.
Isaiah 57:15: “For thus says the high and exalted one who lives for ever, whose name is Holy. I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”
God does not want you to be ignited in problems and burned up. If you have a humble mind and a contrite heart about the wrongs done, God is willing to dwell within you. For this purpose only God allowed his son to die in calvary.
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.”
God does not derive about man to live here for sometime, leaving behind some pains and sorrows and go somewhere; but to live with God in heaven by receiving eternal life through Jesus Christ. For that Jesus was born on earth as a human being, lived as a common
man, whipped by Roman soldiers, nailed in palms and legs, died on the cross, placed in a tomb, arised alive on the third day and still lives.
Isaiah 53:4,5: “Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; yet we ourselves esteemed Him striken, smitten of God, and afflicted, but He was pierced through for our transgression. He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
and by his scourging we are healed.”
Even as we are infirm and weak, through the sacrifice of Jesus at calvary for our atonement, we got redeemed from sin. Even as you read this message, Jesus is knocking at the door of you heart.
Revelation 3:20: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with Me.”
If you are interested to begin a new life invite Jesus Christ to your heart. Be away from old activities and evil habits. Without any outward action or capital investments you can acquire
heavenly peace and spiritual salvation right now.
Romans 10:9: “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus
Christ as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised
Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”
By your own decision, without anybody’s compulsion, pray like this:
‘God our heavenly Father, I believe your Son Jesus was born on this earth to save me, a sinner, for the atonement of sin, died on the cross of calvary, raised on the third day and still lives. My sins be forgiven. Jesus, from today onwards you may live in my heart. Thank you for saving me.
Amen.’
