Few years ago, scientists made an astounding discovery “Sound Waves Never Die Out”. It keeps resounding in the atmosphere. As energy never gets destroyed so are the sound waves.

The truth is that the wrongs and rights we utter from our mouth never die out.

To Err Is Human

As to err is human, so there is none who does not do wrong. A great majority of the people desires not to repeat the wrong doings which cling on to them as a sibling. But they still repeat the wrongs against their own will. Once when some of these wrong doings become terrible then the person realizes the depth of it. Then the person begins to weep of their guilty conscience and somehow desires to escape from its consequences.

Good Deeds

To escape from the guilty conscience of their wrong doings, many people seek short cuts. Most of them think that doing some good deeds is the correct solution. As good deeds and wrong doings are not inter related; the wounded hearts are not comforted.

Let us look at an example, when a person begins smoking for momentary pleasure and when it reaches to the extent such as a disease like lung cancer then that person realizes the consequences of it. In a similar manner, the habit of drinking alcohol may have started for the friends’ sake; which would in due course lead to debt, destruction, miseries and ultimately the person becomes a laughing stock amidst the society. The person eventually realizes not to have started this dreadful act.

It is worthless for those people who have reached such a situation in life to merely do some good works in order to escape.

Majority of the people do wrongs knowingly; because they have already lost the desire to resist the wrongs.

Two Forces

When a person commits wrong, the conscience starts pricking but there is a driving force that compels them to continue in the same situation.

Always there is a strong tug of war in their mind to do or not to do wrong. When the person allows themselves to be dominated by the will power towards wrong doings rather than right doings, the wrong comes out.

It is just like, when we instruct a child not to take a particular object; though initially the child obeys, but later the child tries to take it secretly. If somebody finds it out and questions the child, they would either try to hide it or try to prove their innocence. This is the basic tendency which we see in adults also.

Social And Mental Aspects

The guilty conscience of wrong doings haunts majority of the people all throughout their lives and it reflects itself in their jobs, family and society.

It leads to lack of concentration at their work places, dissatisfaction in family life, broken relationships and finally like a whirl wind shatters their lives and turns every area of their life up side down. Due to this, some people loose their state of mind and are not in a position to respond to their issues in life. They go astray in their life and become mentally weak. Thus being rejected by everyone, their life turns out to be like hell.

Self Physical Torture And Dead Conscience

We can see in the society such people who are trying to escape from this guilty conscience by torturing their own selves like piercing their bodies or rolling in front of some idols etc.

Many of them think that they can not escape from these wrongs so they continue with their wrong deeds with a frozen mentality.

But surprisingly majority of these people have a desire to get pardoned.

At least if I can do good from now onwards……..

If I can share my depression with someone else………

But their life again becomes miserable as on one side the guilty conscience of their wrong deeds pulls them back while on the other the desire to live a good life pulls them ahead.

Like Cancer

Mostly people commit wrongs to snatch away things from others and also to fulfill their own selfish ambitions.

At least some people think seriously about the wrong (sin) which we mention in pet name as “weaknesses”. “Sin” is like the disease “Cancer” which begins itself like a tiny mole formation and drastically grows into a tumor that gets decayed and spreads all over from one location to the other.

James 1:14, 15: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

When an evil desire crops up into one’s mind, either this desire deceives the person to do an evil act when one is in a favorable situation; or else the person takes an initiative to create a favorable situation. When the entire situation becomes favorable, the desire comes out through their deeds as sin.

Such desires grow very rapidly within the person whereby the person is unable to hide it. Then the sin begins to dominate over him, leading to death. The wages of sin is death.

Rom. 6.23: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Beginning and Side Effects

Rom.1:29-32: Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers; Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful; who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Injustice, evil, greed, crookedness are all inter-related. Greedy persons with their evil, injustice and crooked minds achieve their own selfish ambitions. They invent evil plans in their minds which emerge out in the form of envy, crime, fraud, hatred . . . etc

Such people become liars, backbiters and even proclaim that there is no God. They behave with pride, self praising and rude attitude. They also devise evil schemes against others to put them into trouble. Their acts of disobeying parents, foolish behavior, deliberate negligence of laws, merciless nature or even if they do not do such things, they support others committing such sins.

Dwelling Begins

Romans 7:15:For that which I do, I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. Romans 7:17:Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Even though the person has good intentions to do good, the person still commits wrong which is another evidence of the fact that sin dwells within him. The influence of sin is much stronger than we can imagine.

The sin which grows from within the heart, if not plucked out from its very roots, would raise its head again with all its strength and vigor dominating us although we try our best to resist it.

Physical And Mental Conditions

Physical and Mental conditions of human beings vary. If the mental condition is prominent then the mind controls the body. If the physical condition are prominent then it will controls the mind. As the saying goes; “Eat to live is different from live to eat.”

Gal 5:19-21:Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Those who mould their mind to get physical pleasures cannot prolong in same state because in order to meet their needs they do what they ought not to do. When their wavering minds are drawn towards lust then sin begins to dwell in that person and eventually controls the person.

Rom 8:13: For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Wealth And Hardships

People strive and work hard to live according to their own will but God provides all their necessities at the proper time.

Ecc 3:11: He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

When God provides all the people with the pleasures of this world, He had already embedded in their hearts the message of eternity.

After death…What happens??

How it will be in eternity?

Time passes on even after death…..

The reality that eternity has no beginning and end and we are here for a short span of time should urge us to seek God.

Acts 17:30: He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Seeing some people who have done several wrongs, we feel that they don’t have any problem. But, still others even after doing good, struggle with problems. We are burdened in our hearts thinking that God does not see these situations. Truly speaking, the fact is that God allows us to go through these situations but He waits patiently watching over us to see whether we try to seek him.

God provides humans with basic needs and even a place to live too. Some permanently stay at one place while others have temporary habitations and move from place to place from time to time. Likewise God has destined certain duration and set boundaries for all the people so that within that span of time they should seek may seek God.

Change Of Mind

God is willing to dwell with any person who seeks Him. But if there is sin dwelling within the individual then God cannot dwell within.

Acts 17:26-27: And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

Rom 6:12, 13: Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. The mind has to be diverted from wrong to right and if we are able to separate the two in our mind then it happens to be the very first step towards leading a victorious life.

God? Oh! I Do Not Know!!

Even before reaching the preliminary steps, many turn away to previous wrongs. They reason out themselves many excuses forbidding God and remain in the depth of darkness unable to realize what is right and wrong.

Rom 1:21: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Either, they consider themselves as God or live under the assumption that what they have made is God.

Secretly … Diligently…

There is nobody to question me or no one knows what I am doing. With such thoughts people harden their hearts and do not have any guilty consciousness.

Rom 2:5: But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

Even if there is a prosecution held, as these acts of sins were done very secretly and diligently, the person thinks to themselves that there is no witness against him or her.

Nowadays, many countries make use of very sophisticated equipments to capture the confidential matters without anyone’s knowledge. It has become common in developed countries that these equipments store images or pictures of vehicle drivers who break traffic rules and regulations.

Hab 2:11: For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

Think about the hidden cameras within the walls and wooden objects which bring to light the secret things. Without the knowledge of a third person it exposes the secrets in large screens, which brings us shame.

No Place To Hide…

It is not possible for man to hide from God and do anything.

Ps 139:7: Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

Since everyone is entangled in the clutches of wrongs. Neither can anyone escape on their own nor can they help others to do the same.

Who Can Deliver Me?

Rom 3:10-18: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness? Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes.

There is no righteous person. In every human being, one way or the other sin has its do minion. Now, the question is how can I escape or who can ever save me?

Rom 7:24: O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

There Is Only One Way

Since things are in such a manner with no other means of escape, God has made one and only one way to correct the wrongs in a person to right.

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

“Wages of sin is death” to save man from this grave danger, sinless Jesus was willing to bear upon him this punishment.

Rom 5:6-10: For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Friend, aren’t you entangled with wrong and guilty consciousness having no way to escape the punishment. It is for you, Jesus has borne that punishment.

All you need to do is believe that Jesus has redeemed you from sin by taking it upon Himself without any deed of righteousness from our part.

1 John 4:9: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Jesus has come to the earth to deliver man from the bondages of sin and to give eternal life. Infact, Jesus who did not know sin, took it upon himself to deliver us from the bondage of sin.

II Cori 5:21: For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Jesus who bore our sin also received its punishment. We, who were sentenced to eternal death for our iniquities were made free…. He justified us.

Re-Conciliation

1 Pet 2:21-24: For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Jesus bore our sins in His flesh and was made to die on cross on our behalf. Roman soldiers tortured Him over and over again, plucked out His beard, thrusted upon his head with crown of thorns. Even though He suffered trials and persecution but without grumbling He tolerated it to the very point of death, for us Jesus endured.

Upon looking at Him there was no beauty in Him because his visage was marred more than any man. Bruised and despised Jesus, took his steps as an obedient lamb towards death on Calvary. He was wounded for our transgressions, stricken for our iniquities; the chastisement of peace was upon His face.

Is 53:5, 6: But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

From the time the soldiers were whipping Jesus until His very death, blood was gushing out of his body. The blood which He shed has become a propitiation for our sins.

1 John 1:7: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Jesus has died for the sin of the entire mankind.

Dear friend, for you too …

1 John 2:2: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Only Believing?

Eph 2:4,5: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

Eph 2:8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Yes, just believing the plan which God has graciously granted to us, is what we need to do. Jesus justifies those who believe Him.

From Wrong To Right

Now you have come to the right track since you have already moved away from the wrong and heading towards the right i.e. by changing your deeds and behavior. Let down your wrongs and guilty consciousness at the feet of Jesus who bore punishment for your sins. He will wash away your sins with His precious blood that He shed on Calvary. He will accept your new decision which was soaked in tears. Forgive to those you have to forgive and ask pardon to those whom you have hurt.

Rom 10:9: That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Receive Jesus into your heart as your savior. Believe that Jesus has risen from the dead and still lives. Now you can live with a peaceful mind by escaping from the eternal condemnation of judgment after death.

Friend, accept this experience with prestige.

When evil temptations haunts you again in your life, pray to Jesus and defend them boldly. Surely you will begin to experience the peace and joy which you never have had experienced before.

Let the loving Jesus enable and help you to correct the wrongs to right and deliver you from the bondage of guilty conscious.
